July and August

Yes, I know I said I was going to catch up about 3 months ago and now, instead, I am just three more months behind. I have a goal to be all the way caught up to Christmas, however, by the new year. So get ready for lots of great posts!

Shane turned 28 this year! We celebrated by going on a date to the theater. We watched "The Edge of Tomorrow" and we both loved it!

Henry loves walking around with boots on his hands.

Popcorn is one of our favorite snacks.

These two were being so cute sharing these bubbles. Henry was actually doing a really good job of blowing them out.

Shane and I drove to California to go to his cousins wedding in August. We had a really nice time. Unfortunately, I didn't even take any pictures of the wedding... But I sure love this one of Shane and his mom.

Bear Lake

Shane and I have some good friends who's parents own a cabin in Bear Lake. They invited us to go play up there with them in June and we had a blast.

It was very amusing to watch these boys play "Just Dance" on the Wii. The kids really enjoyed dancing with them, too :)

And, of course, we took a trip down to the beach.

Family Hike

 There are tons of beautiful hiking trails really close to where we live. We rarely take advantage of them. Hopefully we will do better next summer. This trail is about 1 minute up the road from us.

Henry was starting to hurt my back quite a bit so Shane did double duty. He is such a good daddy and husband!

Still catching up from summer. These pictures are from June.

I found Makenzie sleeping on the couch in this comfy position. As soon as I took a picture her position slowly started changing...

Until she ended like this. She was sound asleep the whole time :)

Disclaimer: I'm not usually so lazy as to feed my children out of paper bowls when there are no clean dishes but Henry goes absolutely crazy in the morning until he gets food, so he got paper this particular morning :)
 

Henry LOVES oatmeal! He eats it almost every morning for breakfast and will usually eat two servings. 

This was one of the first times he fed himself with a spoon.

It's fun to play with sheets in the living room.
