Country Roads

Makenzie and I went to Independence a couple weeks ago to watch Emma show her turkey's and lamb for FFA. It was so fun and Emma did such a good job!

I love Bishop, CA!

I had to take a picture of these cute pigs cuddling together.

Purple mountains majesty! The sunset was so beautiful that night and it gave the mountains the most stunning shade of purple. I wish I could have captured the color better.

Emma showing her lamb

Emma's lamb gave her a really hard time. It jumped all over but Emma did a great job of keeping calm and regaining control over her lamb each time. Out of 15 people, Emma got 2nd place for her lamb and 5th place for showmanship even thought. The judge said he would have placed her in the top three if her lamb hadn't been so jumpy. He was very complementive on her showmanship skills. Go Emma!

Some kids were practising their roping skills in between shows.

This little boy was so cute and was an exceptional roper.

This is Emma's friend, Jacob. He is a true blue cowboy.

Shane came up Friday night and we had a little birthday celebration for him on Saturday. He is 26 now.

Cousins

Emma and our cousin, Camilla, came to Grandpa's last week and we had a really fun time together. Along with watching "The Newsies" four different times, we also went go-carting and rock wall climbing! It was a blast!

While we were playing darts, Emma somehow managed to stick a dart right into this plastic mop! I still have no idea how that happened.

Her mark!

Emma

My sister, Emma, came and stayed with me a few of weeks ago. I love Emma so much and so does Makenzie. She is so fun to be around and was so helpful with Kenzie too. I love her so much and miss her terribly!

Mom and Dad came down and we went to the beach. It was really cold that day but we still got in the water and had lots of fun.

Emma was dared to ask these guys if she could try out their skin board. She did it!

They were really nice to her and threw the board out for her a few time to help her get the hang of it.

Go Emma!

Ten Months

Makenzie is ten months old today. I can't believe how fast these months have gone. I love being a mom, especially to this most precious baby girl! Makenzie can now pull herself up on all sorts of furniture and can walk along it as well. She can even stand hands free for about 8 seconds but I can't get her to do it very often... yet :)

Here are some things that Kenzie loves:
water bottles- she loves to crush them and bite them
cords- I know, dangerous
biting!- especially my toes and Shane's nose
pulling cloths out of drawers
ripping up paper, tissue and paper towls into teeny tiny pieces;
opening and shutting ANYTHING that can be opened and shut- doors, drawers, cupboards, books, phones
the toilet, yuck!- anytime we leave the bathroom door open she heads stright for the toilet
peek-a-boo- she will even play it by herself
waving- she will even randomly wave to people walking by us in the store
clapping- who doesn't love to clap?
being sung too- it calms her down almost every time she is being fussy

This baby is the greatest blessing I could ever hope for. How we love this precious child!
This was Kenzie's nine month old picture that I never got around to posting. My poor baby was sick that day and obviously very tired :)

Fun in the Sun

I am WAY behind in my blogging. These pictures are from when my sister, Katie, and her family were here more than a month ago. We had so much fun paying at the beach, and in the sprinklers, and sliding down Grandpa's hill, and doing so many other things! I love being with my family! I have the best one in the world!
Wearing Uncle Drew's hat

Katie's girls had so much fun playing in these sprinklers. How I love them!

This is my cousin Tasha's little boy, Skyler. He is the happiest little boy and he's so adorable!

I love that she is plugging her nose! What a cutie!

Beautiful Mally...

Andrew has a bad habit of leaving his knives laying around.

What a good uncle!

Riley was running when I took this picture. She is just so cute!

Our poor crying babies!

Look at those tears!

My beautiful sis, Katie.
