Molly

  I went into labor with Molly around 8:00 PM on April 11, and had her at 3:14 AM on the 12th.
  Our whole experience at the University hospital was wonderful. Shane was such a great support to me while I was in labor. He was so comforting and encouraging the whole time. He pushed on my knees during each contraction to help alleviate some of the pain and even had a great attitude when my water burst all over him. Haha! Too much information?
  My midwife was great too. She stayed with us during the whole labor and pushed on my sacrum (while Shane pushed on my knees) during my contractions. I was amazed how much that helped me. She also helped me relax in between the contractions.
  Molly came out perfectly. She was born with dark blue eyes and a full head of dark hair. She weighed 8 pounds and 3 ounces and was 20 inches long. Needless to say, it was love at first sight.

Makenzie begged and BEGGED for her little sister to come out for months. She was so excited to finally get to hold her.

My mom came to help care for us for a total of three weeks. She babysat, cleaned, cooked, did laundry and pretty much worked her butt off for us. I'm so grateful for such a wonderful mama :)

My little "Lenny." If you have read "Of Mice and Men" then you know exactly what I mean by that. Henry ADORES his little sister... maybe a little too much? He loves to hug and kiss her but we need a little more practice on how to do so a bit more gently.

I woke up in the morning to a familiar face over my bed. I squealed with delight when I recognized my nurse to be Analise, a friend of mine from nursing school. It was so neat to have her aid me over the next couple of days.

Shane and I had a really hard time deciding whether to name our little girl Molly or Emily. The day I was discharged we chose Molly Elynn and I am so glad we did. I think it suits her just perfectly!

The following pictures are my attempt to take newborn photo's of Molly. The lighting in my apartment is pretty horrible and the only pictures that really turned out happened to all be of the same pose but, oh well. Now you can get to see the cute little faces she makes that light up my life every day.

  Molly is such a good baby. She rarely cries, sleeps pretty well during the night, loves to be held and just started smiling so much about a week ago. I am so thankful that we have been so blessed to get this perfect little girl as our daughter.

Kenzie is such a good little mommy. I love it when she takes care of her little baby. She loves to help out with Molly too.

One of her favorite activities is playing with play dough and who can blame her?!



Kenzie set up her toys to "watch TV." I tried to move that metal thing to put it out of harms way and Makenzie got really upset with me because her animals were watching a show on it :)

Shane didn't have school one day so we decided spur of the moment to go to Park City. We had never gone before and had a fun time just walking up and down Main Street, looking at the neat shops, and enjoying the beautiful weather. Henry was so happy and cheerful. He literally skipped and hopped everywhere we went and it was so dang cute! We went to a neat little playground where the kids played for a while and then we started home. We stopped at the store on our way back to pick up some ice cream. It was such a great day!

This boy only likes to take massive bites of whatever he is eating.

My poor Kenzie got sick in the middle of the night. She wanted to take a shower and when I checked on her, this is how I found her. So sweet and sad.

Our court had a little Easter egg hunt a week or so before the holiday. We came out one minute late and almost all of the eggs were already gone. Luckily, we still got a few.
