Nine Months Old

My little Henry turned nine months old on the 16th. I can't believe how fast his first year is going by. Here are a few things about Henry.
Henry started scooting about a week before Christmas break and by time we got home from break he was crawling exclusively. He is also pulling himself up onto furniture and getting down pretty smoothly now too. Henry LOVES cords (I think most babies do)! Whenever we go into Daddy's office, he makes a beeline to the computer cords. He also loves to go into the bathroom, pull himself up to the side of the tub and push down every bottle of shampoo, body wash, exec. one at a time to hear the unique crash that each one produces. He loves to squawk and squeal and make cute little baby sounds all day long.
Henry has had a really hard time eating food. I was sure that this little boy would just love the stuff, I mean, look at him!!! Doesn't he LOOK like he would inhale food? Well, my 22-pound baby hated everything but mommy's milk until about a week ago. I tried TONS of different foods, baby cereals, and baby snacks. The result: sever gagging and spitting out of food. I was lucky if I could get a teaspoon down to his belly. But that would eventually be spit up along with whatever breast milk was in his tummy an hour or two after he had eaten. I decided to crack down and be diligent about giving him food every day. The first three days were just as productive as any other time I had fed him, but then I gave him bananas. And he LOVED them. FINALLY, something I don't have to force down his throat, and to make a long story short, he has been eating food much better for about a week now. He has been so much happier lately with his nicely full belly. And a happy baby means a happy mommy!

These kids really love each other.

I think he looks a lot like my little brother, Andrew (when he was a baby), in this picture.

I forgot to mention that Henry got his four top teeth during the Christmas break. Aren't they adorable?

I sure love this little boy. He brings so much joy to this family. He has a smile that can brighten the gloomiest day and his eyes! Oh his eyes! He inherited the same sincere, beautiful eyes that his dad posesses. They are seriously what made me fall in love with Shane. I'm so glad that Henry has them too.

Christmas with the Klenks

We made the trek to California for Christmas and the New Year and had such a wonderful time with our family. I accidentally left my camera in California but luckily I downloaded some of my pictures to my computer while I was there. So this is part 1 to our Christmas in California. My mom is mailing my camera to me so more pictures will be coming soon.

Henry got trapped by this chair as he was trying to crawl into the hallway. It was really funny/sad when I heard his frustrated cries to find him like this.

He is even dramatic in his sleep.

Our ward had a little Nativity that the children acted out. Makenzie wasn't supposed to be in it but when she saw all of the kids congregated to go on stage, she ran up there and before I could catch her, our kind friend Holly (the gal in the black) had given Kenzie a star to hold.

So she made the nativity twice as bright by being the second star. She and her friend, Noah, were the cutest stars I had ever seen :)

When we left for California it had snowed 15 inches in the Salt Lake area in I period of three days. When we got to California, it was warm. No, it was hot! When we were playing ping pong outside, we all had to put hats on and I had to stay in the shade for fear of a sunburn!

Christmas!

Kenzie heard us say something about food and then she disappeared. I went to see where she had gone to and this is where I found her, waiting for her lunch.

Our very dear friend, Micheline, was able to spend part of Christmas day with us. We sure love this woman!

Opening up presents can be exhausting :) I love it when Makenzie makes up little beds for herself and a stuffed friend.

November

I just love this little boy!

First Snow!

Henry practices his yoga poses all day long!

This little girl loves spaghetti! Can't you tell? I thought it was so funny that she held the container that like that.

Henry loves bath time!

What, don't you watch TV like this?
