Just Us

I have been really busy lately with moving, weddings, unpacking and getting organized so I haven't done a post in a while. Here are just some random pictures of my little family that I have been meaning to post. Hopefully, more post will be coming very soon!

Visiting with Grandma

Henry LOVED having his dad's head on his belly. Every time Henry cried, Shane would put the full weight of his head on Henry, just like this, and Henry would stop crying. It was pretty funny :)

Sometimes when Henry is being fussy, Kenzie will climb up to where ever he is and let him suck on her hand or arm to help calm him. I think it is so sweet. 

Our Aunt Carolyn sent some great clothes for Henry when he was born and sent them in all sizes too. Some of them even fit Kenzie so she has been testing out some of Henry's PJ's for him. I loved that they were both wearing froggy jammies with froggy feet this night.

Our cousin Nicole gave Kenzie a big slice of her cake. Kenzie was in heaven!

Daddy took Kenzie out to play with bubbles. We had so much fun!

Girly

I love having a girl who loves to be girly! It is so fun. I just love this little girl! Even when she get's into all of my lipstick.

I finally had to stop carrying lipstick/lip gloss/ chap stick in my diaper bag because Makenzie would ALWAYS get into it. But she does look pretty cute with her self-administered make-up, doesn't she?

Kenzie loves her baby doll. I found her trying to swaddle it up the way she saw her mommy do to her new little brother. I helped her wrap up her baby doll and she loved it!



One day Makenzie was being really quiet, I decided I had better go see what trouble she was getting into when I found this sweet little child all snuggled up in my bed with her baby. My heart just melted.

Kenz got into my make-up bag and took out a green cover-up stick. Thinking it was lipstick, she smothered it all over her lips, creating this (still kissable) green mouth. Muuuuaaah!

Just random

Here are just some random pictures of my cute babies that I have been meaning to post for a long time.

3 months

My little (or not so little) Henry is three months old today. It feels like he has been apart of our family for much longer, though. I honestly can't imagine life without him. Henry brings so much joy to our lives every minute of the day. He is so happy and is ALWAYS smiling. I can even make him smile in the middle of his sobbing. I love it so much!
I also LOVE how big this baby is! I took him to the doctor 2 weeks ago and he weighed 16 pounds and was 25.5 inches long! He is so sturdy and cuddly and all I want to do is kiss him and squeeze him all day long!  I am so glad for the blessing he is in our lives! I love you Henry!

Lately, he has been loving those hands. I think it is adorable!

Independence Day

This year we spent the 4th of July in, appropriately, Independence, California. I grew up in Independence and had always loved going to the festivities that our cute little town provides. It just occurred to me when we were there that I hadn't been home for the 4th since I graduated from high school, six years ago. I have talked it up to Shane ever since we were married and I do believe our trip lived up to every bit of it. I was so afraid that it was going to be so miserably hot, but a loving Father in Heaven blessed us with clouds all day long that made the heat much more tolerable. It really was a lovely day!

On the night of the 3rd, we all went to the park to listen to some great live music and catch up with some even greater friends.

Early Thursday morning, Shane, Emma and I all raced in the 4 K. Shane got second place out of at least 60 people!

Afterwards, we went to a pancake breakfast at the park and then to the town parade. Here Kenzie is going out to the street to pick up candy that a woman in the parade threw out to her.

And here is one of the exhibits that broke down right in the middle of the parade. All of these people came to the drivers rescue and helped push it until it started back up. It was quite comical.

After the parade, we went back to the park for the pie social and then Emma and Jackie participated in the spelling bee. They both did really well too!

We spent all day with our super good friends, the Whitney's. This is Joelle and Andy. They posed like this when they saw me taking their picture.

Andy gave Kenzie her first lollipop and she loved it!

But Andy, and some argue Keith, won first place! Emma caught this amazing picture of Andy jumping over the finish line. Keith is right behind him flying over the line like Super Man.

This is Ellie, 4 months, Henry, 2 1/2 month, and Enid, who was born 1 week before Henry. Ya, he is kind of a monster :)

I love Shane's face in this picture. He is saying "cheese" for Makenzie and he just looks so cute! And so do my children, of course :)

After the delicious deep pit barbecue, we ate ice cream while waiting for the firework show.

Our wonderful day ended with a beautiful sunset right before the fireworks. It was such an amazing day. I am so grateful for this country we live in. I am thankful for our Forefathers who founded it under God and under inspiration from God. I hope that our country never forgets whose land this really is.
