March

Is it super silly that I am making a post about March 2016 when March 2017 is just right around the corner? I am going to really try to get all caught up on my blog before the new year. Let's see if it happens :)

Just a sleeping curly-haired boy

Our friends invited us to their family's cabin in Pine Valley. We had so much fun just hanging out and playing outside. We love the Kellum family!

Zip line!

Cute little Levi :) He was crying because his dad was leaving. Pretty sweet!

Looking for the treats that the leprechaun left behind.

When I saw these women when I came outside that day, I thought to myself  "I will miss coming out to this so much! I better capture it." I'm so glad I did because I DO miss it so much!

Can you tell I like sleeping photo's?

Makenzie is 5

Makenzie turned five in September but we have been super busy so here is her late birthday post.
Makenzie has been a trooper since we left our home is Salt Lake but she miss her friends a lot. I'm not worried about her though. This girl has the gift of making friends. It comes so easily and naturally to her. This last Sunday, she sat a few rows in front of me with her grandparents during church. Before the meeting was half over, she had made her way into the row in front of them and huddled together with another girl who she had never even met. They whispered and giggled and were best friends in no time at all. How I admire that about her.
Makenzie has such a sweetness about her. She is thoughtful, and kind and very helpful. She loves to craft, draw, paint, cut, glue and everything in-between. She makes us laugh with the cute things she says all the time. There was a long period when she always called us "sweet-sparkly mommy" and "sweet-sparkly-daddy."
Singing is one of her favorite pastimes and going to primary every Sunday is her favorite part of the week. She loves to play dress-up and asks me to put her hair in pig tails every day of her life.
She loves to listen to me read books and always asks to listen to books on tape in the car. She is even starting to read, herself. I cant even believe that she is old enough to do that!
Makenzie basically lives in the roller skates that she got for her birthday. She wears them all around the house and begs to where them every time we go out of the house. They are usually on her feet before I even get out of bed in the morning and before she changes out of her jammies. I love this sweet girl so much. She is such a light to me and everyone around her. Happy Birthday, Kenzie-girl!

Get ready for a photo overload :)

My poor baby got stung by  sticker plant when she swung her hand behind her.

But she recovered pretty quickly :)
